On 05.12.2011, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Hanam province coordinate with the Hanam Center for Hydrometeorology and Environment (Institute of Hydrometeorology and Environment) held a seminar on planning of Hanam province to implement the National Target Program to respond to climate change.

Attending the seminar were Mr. Vu Huu Song, provincial commissioners, Director of Natural Resources and Environment, Deputy Head of the Permanent Steering Committee planning of Ha Nam to implement objectives of national program response climate change; Nguyen Van Truyen, Deputy Director of Natural Resources and Environment, Deputy National Steering Committee of building the planning of Hanam province; leaders of districts and cities, leaders of departments, agencies, unions, schools ...

The seminar participants heard draft of Hanam Planning to implement the national target program to respond to climate change. The objective of this work is contribute to poverty alleviation, protection of people's lives, prevent and mitigate the threat posed by climate change. The contents of the plan include: climate change, the scenarios and the impact of climate change to Hanam Province, economic development of Hanam province in the period 2006 - 2010, 2015 and orientation to 2020; the main orientations of the plan to respond to climate change; build up a list of priority tasks responding to climate change.

At the end of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Truyen emphasized in the near future, the Steering Committee Plan of Henan province and consultancy unit will revenue the opinions of the participants to complete the plan.
