Since July 2010, CEDO started activities in 2 communes of Phu Luong, Thai Nguyen.  On 30 September 2010, CEDO held a project introduction and experience sharing workshop for all stakeholders in Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province.

There were 50 participants from Ha Nam Thai Nguyen. From Thai Nguyen delegation, Mr. Ma Van Ruc (Vice chairman of  Phu Luong PC, PSC member) and Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hang (Chairwoman of Phu Luong WU, PMG member) together  with local people from 4 villages of  2 communes and beneficiaries. There were PSC, PMG members and beneficiaries from Ha Nam also attend to share their experience.

In the first part of project introduction, all successful models implemented in 3 communes of Ha Nam during two years (2008-2010) are selected to replicated for two communes of Phu Luong district till the end of 2010. Some beneficiaries from Thai Nguyen also join the workshop to learn experience from Ha Nam.

During experience sharing, Ha Nam delegation express their most interest learning from CEDO. Thanh Ha representative shared experience on composting, IPM training, worm raising and attending Climate Change network etc. Thanh Tuyen rep. is very experience with effective support women by trainings on: embroidery, bamboo mattress, gender equality, domestic violence and HIV/AIDS prevention etc. Liem Tuyen commune is typical on mobilizing community into environment protection and improvement. The unions cooperated with local PC and church to encourage their parishioners to contribute into building waste water treatment system and waste dump.

The workshop finished successfully with big efforts from all participants to determine achieving all project objectives for the next phase of CEDO project.
