Local unions play an important role in project activities. In the other hand, the involvement  into project activities also helps to strengthen their capacity.

During the baseline survey, CEDO could find 3 key persons from local partners: Women Union from Thanh Tuyen commune, Veteran Unions from Thanh Ha and Liem Tuyen. Besides, CEDO also investigate other unions’ need to support them become stronger unions. They can join our training and other activities conducted by CEDO like building some sanitation models and HH economy. Learning by doing, their capacity is increasing gradually.

Local unions often discuss with CEDO to propose some practical activities for their locals.  After more than one year, the union’s capacity has been increased significantly. Local unions can organize workshops, training, and communication on environmental protection. They are provided more skills like facilitator, proposal writing, and access advanced technology such as computer, internet, and projector. Capacity building for local unions is one of project objectives.
